Thanks but it will be a extra slow process. I am going to have to build a portable garage so I don't have to worry about the weather.

tsmithae

Alright Jason, ONLY because you said so...  :icon_smile_big:

Today was  quite productive, I got everything tweaked to the point where I was happy with the fitment.  I only had the quarter on an off around 50 times...

I got the inner structure and wheel wells seam sealed.

Then I got crazy and burnt in the passenger quarter. Used a spot welder wherever it was possible and the rest were plug welds.

I managed to get enough energy to get back to the garage a little bit today. So glad that my uncles have set aside their hatred for Mopars enough to help me out.  That and having the car 2 feet off the ground so I can just sit and work on her helps a lot.

The drivers quarter came off and I had a few areas to repair.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get the repairs finished and then get the outer wheel well out.  I'm beat after just what little I got done today...

Had my good buddy come over and give me a hand getting things in place for fitment/testing and I am starting to get excited because she's looking like a car again!

Sorry to hear about your injury and hope you heal up soon so you can get back to what is important. Entertaining us with this thread. :icon_smile_big:  Once you get those quarters on the juices can't help but start to flow cause they look so damn good. :2thumbs:

Well, I have been working as I can and this cortisone shot is making things a little bit easier.  Since my last update (with pictures) I have managed to get all of the brackets back in place in the trunk, the outer wheel well finished, trunk extension finished and seam sealer in place.  I spent the rest of the day today getting everything prepped to burn the drivers quarter in place for my b-day tomorrow.  If I get really crazy I may try to have the deck filler in place this weekend too.

Pics!

Man that looks clean. What did you use to paint the inner sheet metal?

tsmithae

Thanks guys!  I used Zero Rust for the inner structure, I have heard nothing but great things and I have been very satisfied with it so far.

Man does it get any better than that?

Just think, every time you get into the car, and you look across that SWEET quarter, You will always remember that you hung it on your birthday!

Happy Birthday!

Aaaaaannnddd we're movin' again. Great to see things moving forward. Better than factory rust prevention. :yesnod: :yesnod:

tsmithae

Yes sir, we are moving! This knee has been cooperating a lot more since that cortisone shot.  :D  I might actually have gotten the dutchman panel in if I had some panel adhesive... I will call it good with a quarter panel and rear valence.   :yesnod:

So far I got washer nozzle/hose kit, lower control arm braces, a tailpanel emblem, and my drivers quarter burned in for my birthday!

Removed the deck filler, cleaned up the plenum, and painted the inside of it.

Also decided to test fit the new deck filler, I got excited just seeing it in place!
