What's with the lines through it?
Why would you do that?

How about this: Take some nice FULL REZ pictures of all of these posters and send them to Mike (our resident poster guru) to be made into NEW posters, ones that we ALL can buy...and hang on our walls!!
The upside for you: you can put your tattered originals in a safe place and hang the plastic-coated reproductions in their place. Also - you'd have the respect and admiration of numerous friends here on this website!

From ebay Isaac poster

These were produced by Racing Pictorial magazine.   There were several different ones.  I think this is the only one with a wing car.   This the Lee Roy poster.

Aero426

The other 1970 Michigan poster.

Texas World and Atlanta probably had something like for their races as it was the same ownership at the time.

Non aero, but a cool dealer poster.  From 1967 and Petty's 55th win, where he took over the all time win lead from his father.    It's about 3' x 4'.

moparchris

I'll second that request for a poster of the Daytona poster.  Any hope of getting that copied Redbird?

Fundamentally, the copyright to the poster is not mine. It belongs to Chrysler, they created the design and product and they put their logo on it to show it is theirs.

On a practical level the paper the poster is on is extremely fragile. It wouldn't make it through a pass of a rollfeed scanner. It would have to be scanned on a flatbed scanner of at least 4' x 3'. I don't think anyone would pay for what the scan, photoshop, and print would cost, much less the time to do it for copies that essentially would be a fakes.

I sent 6pkrunner a my schlitz Daytona poster.  He scanned it, sent back my original plus a blown up nersion for the mopad   I would love to have one of those for the Mopad :2thumbs:

Good find I think thats the 1 of the 2 carlife hemi 500 test vehicles
The 69 "Car Life" Road Test on the two C500's, and clearly states "the crown comes back"! The fastest road cars ever tested!!!
Chrysler supplied an auto, and a manual Hemi 500 which ran the best 1/4 mile time of 13.68.

http://www.allpar.com/corporate/chelsea-proving-grounds.html

When the crew left Talladega the whole racing world knew about the record. Eventually, #88 came back to Talladega, where it rests to the present day, on permanent display at the Talladega MotorSports Museum.
Not bad for a car that had been left a derelict on the mean streets of Los Angeles. Chrysler had sent a Dodge Charger Hemi out to California for testing by a major auto enthusiast magazine. It was stolen one night and was lost for quite a while. Finally, L.A. police found the stripped out derelict body on the mean streets of Watts. There wasn't much left except the body, which had been left sitting on cement blocks. The police hauled it into their impound lot. Notifications were made, of course. At first, nothing was going to happen. However it was the time of the Riverside race. One of the guys involved had taken a car out to Riverside to sell. His trailer was empty for the return trip, so he was asked to pick up the hulk from the L.A.P.D. lot.  He did so. That car became the #88 engineering mule and the 200 mile an hour record holder.
