the WW club takes paypal for membership dues, so perhaps they will also accept paypal for the $20 cd? they might have to send you an invoice through paypal, since there is no direct link from the merchandise page. for money order purchases, the bottom of the page states this:

I am sure I have more than the small batch of 40 newsletters that I put on Ebay.     I whittled down a LARGE pile of back issues a couple years ago, but I still have more left, easily going back into the 80's.

Allen, I did have a (mostly) complete front clip from a 69 Coronet. It was missing the radiator support. I couldn't manage to sell it so I started parting it out. I sold both inner fenders and one frame rail. The upper and lower cowl pieces, firewall, and door hinge mount area are still attached as one piece at this time. It came apart rather easily.

I think you'd be better off with the complete clip so that you can guarantee that it's all straight (ok, as straight as 1969 quality control will allow) and so you only have a few connection points to deal with. There are a LOT of spot welds in some areas so it's best to leave those intact. I think the trickiest area will be the A pillars.

Thanks for the update Troy...  Yes, I would like a complete frame front end clip like you suggest.  Back last Winter I was still planning a part-by-part repair, and bought a Firewall & Cowl Assy for $300 and expected the shipping to be about $125.  Instead it cost:  $300 (Firewall) + $30 (pallet) + $455 (freight shipping) = $785... later the shipping company billed another $50 because of a typo they made, but refunded the charge when I   The $455 quote was the lowest one I could find, other low priority quotes ranged as high as $800.  After that, my search has been limited to about a day's drive, or about 500 mile radius.

The non-air firewall & cowl assy that I bought:

As far as the Structure goes, Id like to see what Doug S. has for input. He is a frame and unibody tech by trade if I dont have my wires crossed...  :shruggy:

Allen, how much damage is there to the actual firewall?   Looks like there are some extra holes in it?

Obviously the aprons are damaged and will be replaced.    Once you do your rough pulls and the now sacrificial aprons are removed, how much damage is there to the firewall and frame rails?   I assume they can be worked and saved as original components.   If the rail has hard kinks bent a certain amount of degrees, we then think about replacing it.

Your plan for a jig and fixtures as we discussed on the phone a while back is a good one.    If you were going to replace the entire rails, I would want to go back all the way as you have highlighted in red on the frame diagram.  I can only see so much from the pics.  But in any event, I would replace only what truly needs replacing.   A talented metal man can work wonders.    It's only metal, and metal has memory.

I think all those dimensions are in the FSM. I had them when I was researching my "tweaked" black 68 Charger. I guess I'll have to look again to see where I put them.

Looks really solid Allen!

Troy

Indeed there are dimensions in the FSM.   The ones in the aftermarket frame book may be a little more user friendly in term of actually using them in a repair.

moparstuart

if the firewall is just sheet metal damage  , we did this to mine to make it a a/c fire wall

Doug, the firewall is toast IMO... the external cowl panel is buckled, but repairable... but the cowl structure may have hidden damage.  The firewall is buckled and bent all over, basically the utility pole center-punched the nose and drove the engine back into the firewall.  The frame rails are both bowed and buckled/kinked... they need replacing.  A few days ago I discovered the front floor pan buckled at the driver's feet.

The firewall pic below is from when I bought the car, and is out of focus.  I plan take better pics in the next few days.  The extra holes in the firewall are apparently from an aftermarket under-dash air conditioner that must have been installed at one time.

That wrinkle in the floor will come out.   It's a matter of reversing direction and sequence.    Last damage in is first damage out.    The structural panels pretty much need to stay together while the corrective pulls are being made.  The old panels are sacrificial so you can get the remaining unibody back into spec.    Most shops today are familiar with drive on racks that do a single pull, or maybe a double pull.    Multiple pulling will simplfy the process.    Think of if you could grab it with multiple hands.    The attached photo is an extreme example of multiple pulls!
