I think all those dimensions are in the FSM. I had them when I was researching my "tweaked" black 68 Charger. I guess I'll have to look again to see where I put them.

no, it certainly was not offensive. i assumed that would have been your reasoning. the idea that someone (if other than tru-way) is trying to sell it on ebay is funny, since it is available from several places, including http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/upload2/6556156-Frame69Coronet.jpg

There it is... I tried to find an uncensored one about a year ago on the Internet, and failed to.  :shruggy:

BTW, do you happen to know of a website with 1970's era copies of the Winged Warriors newsletters (or at least the Aero Car owners lists they also published?  I am making a final push to locate the original engine and transmission for the Daytona, so I do not want the VIN number posted all over the Internet until I have located the parts or decided that there is little to no chance to do so.  At that point I will reveal the sequential number like I did with my Charger 500 after tracking it back to 1971...  The reason being is to try to avoid a situation like has happened to two friends, whose engines were bought for "investments", and basically held for ransom.  Similar to the little drama a few years ago where Rick E's numbers-matching Charger 500 engine was bought off of craigslist and offered to Rick for a obscene marked-up price...

no idea on the old club newsletters. (the one man who would know will surely see this thread)

im not even clear on the distinction between the DSAC and WW clubs, back then. i had thought dad was a member of DSAC for a year or two, back in the early 80's , but when i recently gave the specifics of dad's car to doug s., he only found mention of it in the old WW club. this was a surprise, as dad remembers talking to monroe s. back then, and even recalled him by name. did the two clubs share info?

i wish you well on finding the engine to yours. i've read the thread about the c500 engine that you refer to, so i understand 100% why the VIN is undisclosed. hopefully it didn't meet the same fate as the engine in dad's car, which had six of the eight rods exit the block, just above the oil pan.

A 1969 B-Body donor car will be used to insure the parts are identical, 1968 & 1970 models have some differences.   A non-air 1969 B-Body damaged in the rear would be an ideal donor... if any knows of one available, please let me know.

Here are the pics of the front frame section damage:

...yeah you are right... but like "Wiki-Leaks", there is a history to be considered.

The engine being driven a foot or so back into the firewall during the collision in 1979 probably did not do it much good too...  :eek2:  It should be an interesting story... beginning with why the Daytona was on a median traveling at a high rate of speed!  :rotz:  :brickwall:  :P

Yes Dave, exactly those lists are what I need.  I know it showed up in at least one list, maybe more...

The guy that I bought it from has been unable to remember the last name of who he got it from.

I will call Cookson's tomorrow, but is unlikely they will know after 30+ years...

The car/owner may be mentioned in the WW newsletters too, but I do not know if he or the car were ever mentioned...

Thanks Troy...  The more I look at the car, it is clear that it was above average for a 10 year old car when it was wrecked in 1979.  Unfortunately it spent a great deal of 1984 thru 1989 stored outdoors in a horse pasture.  I have been told that a old bath tub was placed near the rear of the Daytona as a water trough, and horses that were being ridden were tied to the wing as a hitching post...  :eek2:  At least they did not use it like a Hemi `Cuda that a friend told me of... the trunk was used to salt-down slaughtered hogs...  :flame:  :nutkick:

We will see what Dave says, but I am guessing that these owner lists were compiled before the 500 +/- car shipping list was available to the clubs.  It might be  an R/T cloned into an "XX", or one that got omitted by mistake.  Might be a clue in the covered up area...  :scratchchin:  wonder why it was covered? ....Dave?  Can you post the entire page, or better yet the entire list?  :popcrn:

I called Cookson's Transmission and talked to the owner.  He remembers the car, but only because it was so outrageous... he even remembered the color was still red at the time.

Dave since the car was wrecked in 1979, can you send me the entire WW Daytona list from that year?... Or post the complete list?
