It's on my local Craigslist.  http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/pts/2670898371.html

Engine machine work and built by "Roy", no clue who he is? Supposed to be a local machine shop and engine builder. It was built for a Willy's project, he sold the Willy's. Now selling the motor.

Build;
1978 440 block, steel crank
bored .30 over
9 to 1 pistons
Clevite bearings
stock iron heads
Melling high volume oil pump
double roller chain
Eddy intake, dont know which one, powder coated silver/grayish
used Holley 750
RV cam, no cam card
Has alt, PS, brackets, dist with motor
Also has new clutch with Lake wood bellhousing

Motor never started. Needs break in yet. Hows it sound for $1400? How much power is it going to make built like this?
1972 Charger Topper Special, 360ci, 46RH OD trans, 8 3/4 sure grip with 3.91 gear, 14.93@92 mph.
1973 Charger Rallye, 4 speed, muscle rat. Whatever engine right now?

9-1 cr, stock head, rv cam, sounds like a hair more than stock rebuild,  1978hp maybe 350???

it is a decent deal I guess but at 9:1 comp with stock heads it will probably ping , no quench , it will build cylinder pressure with the RV cam , if the intake is a performer it is worse than stock , I would stroke it or at least change the pistons cam & intake for starters

still, its a 440 and will be more funn than a stock 360......................
