Daytona styling

Ok, this may have been brought up before but I have to ask. My understanding is that the Daytona basically went straight from the drawing board into production. Where as the Superbird on the other hand went through Plymouth's styling department along the way hence, the decal's, headlight door blackouts etc.   Now, when I look at the 70 watermelon Daytona I see quite a wild theme of colours and lines. My question is, were there ever any drawings of such a 1969 Daytona or did perhaps Dodge's styling department even manage to make something (scale model?) If not, any ideas of what we may have seen if they had...

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing I'd change on the car.

Cheers, Tim.

This has some great "crayon" work on the windows - if anyone wanted to do the same.

Do you see the one in the last picture with the vacuum leak for the headlights?
