I vaguely recall the strip but the real question is how did you spot that detail after all this time?

I was checking out vintage dealer ads hoping to find one of my cars when I saw the cartoons "money shot" (still to come) .

"catamount" is what the cartoon is calling the car model that resembles a daytona. it appears that small block engines were available in the catamount, as both 340 and 440  versions are mentioned.
