My father bought two of my brother's 70 Superbirds. The limegreen color ones. They were awesome cars. I wish that dad wouldnt have sold the one we kept till 1985 then he decided to sell it because I didn' want to have to argue and fight over it with my brothers. He actually willed it to my oldest son but I just couldnt see fightin over it. Now I wish I would have told him to keep it. Dang it. Those were the Cars to have. Had alot of fun in that car and I scared the he-- out of a few of my friends. lol

Dave I was surprised you didn't sniff this F6 car out ;)
Was this a known car? There seems to be a bit of its history on the Moparts thread.

The Playboy Car thread references 34 F6 cars being built. I have also seen the breakdown by color list and I believe that says 43 cars in F6. I thought I remember reading somewhere (can't find it now) that Geno has 34 F6 cars recorded as being known. Maybe he will chime in and verify that number.

For some reason I had 38 in my head and it being the 3rd most popular color behind R4 and V2?

I know a long time ago Sue George had an article on the color breakdown for Daytonas in the Winged Warriors / NBOA newsletter.. She had a breakdown on 500's as well.......

Here is the color breakdown list I was refering to. I'm sure most have seen it. You are correct its the 3rd most popular color John. Of course based on the 306 known cars in 1991 verses how accurate this would be today.

I double-checked my informal numbers this morning, and found 35 F6 cars - and as John just stated, that makes it the #3 color choice behind R4 and V2 which are neck-and-neck.  Until the VIN is known from the Moparts car, I won't know whether it is or isn't included in that color count/total.

As far as the color breakdown on c500's go I think I posted a breakdown by color in the thread about 500's.

The Daytona being discussed at the top of this thread did not change hands. It is still in the owners hands. I'm not sure if it is the original owner, but I know he has owned it a long time. The fellow that posted it on Moparts is the fellow doing the restoration, Holgar Kurshner. Great guy and a good friend.

I am the one doing the work on this Daytona. I just found out it was on here too so I joined and will give updates periodically if wanted. Sort of stalled for the time being as I catch up on other work. The sheetmetal rolled through the door last week so I guess it will be on the front burner shortly.
