Anybody know who reproduces rear glass for my Daytona. I don't think I would be happy with the scratches in my original. Local glass shops say there is nothing I can do to repair. Are other Daytona rear windows perfect or do they all have flaws? Thanks Rob.

The repop glass rear from oemglass is a laminated piece just like a windshield. Not tempered glass like the original, not really a huge deal once its in but they are easier to chip and crack than tempered.

Outside of all the decals I've stuck on my rear glass, I don't believe it's that bad.
I believe you can buff/polish out glass scratches.  I believe it's a royal PITA, but it's got to be cheaper than replacement AND you still have the original glass.

I use local small mobile glass installed , to install windshields in my parking lot or where even .
alot of these guys offer glass polishing and buffing . I had one take a bunch of haze and scratchs out of the windshield on my 69 runner .  It worth a try  ????  I was really happy with it,  plus the older glass is alway thicker and seals much better then the new stuff .

I emailed OEM and they replied, they don not have back glass for the Daytona. Does that mean they never did or just not at this time? Rob.

Talked to OEM twice on the phone they say they never made them. I actually was able to buff some of the scratches out, not perfect but better. My buddy said try a little crazy glue in the deep scratches and then buff out, he said it works on residential glass. I will try a test area. Also How well does the back window trim fit? I had to play with the clips a lot in the pre fit prior to glass install. Is the trim flush or a little lower.  Rob.

Called Vintage Auto Glass and they are out of the auto glass bus. They put me on to Phillips Classic, I called them and he said he doesn't have them and nobody does and he gets calls all the time. I guess I will go with my original. Rob.

I have one car that is flush and another that is a little regressed. Depended on how they put in the plug as well.
