Looking to buy some new White line bias tires for the 500. Did they use Goodyear or Firestone back in 69??  :shruggy: I found both

What do you mean....  I sent it off to JC whitney last year to have it restored. That's the jewel of the car man!!! I hope to have it back soon for show season this year.

Thats funny, but not as funny as your little avatar dealy saying the same after my wife saw what I spent on mine last yr (which had not run/driven for the last 30yrs) :smilielol: :smilielol: :2thumbs:  I told her it was rare, she did not care

My 500 came with F70-14 redline Firestones on it and they only made about 10K before they were worn out. I think Goodyear "Wide Oval"  came on the 70 model year.

FWIW I am restoring a '69 GTX and the original spare is still intact.  It has a GoodYear Speedway white wall tire.  I'm not positive that all Chrysler products used the same tire but it's a start.  This is the same tire that was on my '69 Super Bee too.  Also, we just ordered a set of these tires from Year One... they were actually cheaper there than at Kelsey.

Thanks guys. I guess I can just look for the best price. Car would be lucky to get 1000 miles a year.

Justin, he wouldn't be interested in selling that original spare would he? So far I have 3 of the Goodyears just like that all with October dates on them. Stil on the look out for 2 more to make a complete set. My 500 is coded for these tires.

Have seen some original Firestones on Daytona's but the majority seem to be Goodyears.

Sorry but he plans to keep it.  I'm gonna pull the tire off, repaint the rim, clean the tire, re-install it... then back in the trunk it goes.  I plan to put these tires on my B3 Bee. Would look pretty cool.
