Wouldn't think you could cut that much metal out without it on a jig / trammel frame. My resto guy just starting bolting and welding my 'Bee to one today to do all the floor pans, torsion bar bulkhead, a sill and a front frame rail... worried the car would fold on him if he didn't.

Cripes!

Would have been a good time to fit a ONE piece trunk floor methinks?

That is one hundred percent correct.      Without having the car on a bench with jigs, the bits are just flapping in the breeze.    You have no way to accurately maintain dimensions.   Even a tram guage is only one dimension.   You need something to maintain and measure length, width and height.

Anyone know if this car has a trunk rail body number?

That's the Kirby Daytona. My Dad was the original owner. He traded it to a gentleman in 1974, and it was wrecked (but not bad) soon thereafter. I remember seeing it in the guy's yard in the late 70's. I guess it sat for decades after that. The drivetrain is original, though. Today I went to RK Motors to check it out. I never thought I'd ever see it restored, but it looks great. The staff was very helpful. Hopefully, when it finds a new home the owner will keep in touch with the community. Ya, I spent the my first 2 years riding around in a Daytona...
