What I mean by leave it alone, is make sure it's mechanically sound, stop any rot from continuing, get all the goodies to function properly and drive it.
Not a full blown resto.

Hearing that the estate has a couple hundred cars, but only one Superbird.

I wondered because the ad describes it as the "other" Superbird.

my ebay experience says that the truly serious buyers won't bid until the last few seconds. leading with two days to go, is pointless.

I was watching it too. High bidder had a couple of backup bids so it could have went for more. Having said that it will be interesting to find out if it actually sold or it will be relisted.

Fair price I think  for what it is , and in current condition.
If the new owner puts $100K into it, $250K for a number's matching hemi 4 speed Superbird in a great color is in the price range seen during recent auctions.

I saw this at american muscle car restorations this weekend while picking mine up, it's going to get a full restoration, they were doing detailed photo documentation when i was there. the back seat looks different than any i have seen. the car was really survivor condition with a older 70's repaint.

Just for fun, put a ballpark on a restoration cost for the car? :popcrn:
