Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

I agree on rear end; either 8.75 or maybe ford 9.  Question is what the heck do you do with it?  It's not a track car, roll cage is wrong.  It's not a street car either.  Why have something that collects dust? :shruggy:

it's a far sight better than the abortion that was paraded around the auction block a year or two ago.

It appears to be a dealer hawking it but why couldn't you drive it on the street?  It looks to have an exhaust system and the rollcage was made for getting in and out, there seem to be lights in the grille so I assume they have done the dark plastic cover on the back like other street driven tribute cars of this nature.
I notice the VIN starts with XS29V0.

Looks like a A/C firewall.
Wonder which has been changed, the firewall or the vin?
Or the V code was added to the ebay ad to entice a buyer.

Ghoste

Who knows, because the first thing I wondered is which is actually worth more, a fake Daytona in race livery or properly done real 70 Six Pack car?

Nwcharger

Whats up with the trunk hinges? Looks like they used 2 sets to make them.

That car is totally street legal, the tail lights are still in the car that is just a cover plate on the rear panel to simulate the shaved rear panel that removes with clips (seen several Charger race clones like it) Headlights are mounted under nosecone.
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

And I don't think they meant the rollcage to look like anything more than a series of bars in the car.  To simulate the look without the hassle of getting in and out of a car with an actual protective cage.

To the archives!  This car had been around the for sale block before a while back, and rather cheap as I remember...

I think that was the whole intent of that build.

Mopar John

I think this "TRIBUTE" Allison Daytona was built here in northwest Indiana originally. The guy who built it himself had some skills and would drive it in nice weather and to local shows. I think it first changed hands after he passed away. John #501 lives closer and may remember a few more details?
