I was watching an episode of Mannix the other night, and there were two 69 Chargers shown in the first 15 minutes.  The first was a red 69 Charger, that a guy drives up to the entrance of a business, and speaks with the Security Guard, then drives away, the car gets some decent screen time, and a good rear end shot of it driving away.  The second Charger is a bronze 69 R/T SE with a white top and tail stripe. Mannix is driving his Dart convertible following a van out of an airport parking lot, when the bronze Charger blocks him from persueing the van. The episode was season 2 episode 22. I not good at posting pictures on this site, perhaps someone else car post them if they have time. The Mannix series always had a lot of cool cars on it,mostly Mopars. It is not very often that Chargers are seen though. He had a customized Olds Toronado convertible the first season, then he drove 68 and 69 Dart convertibles that were customized by George Barris, both of which still survived the filming and have been restored.  Then he drove the 70 and 71 Cuda convertibles, and the Cuda convertible was updated to 72 grille and tailpanel for the beginning of the 72 season. He then drove a 72 Rallye Challenger with a sunroof, before switching to a Camaro for the 74 season.  There are always lots of other Mopars on the show as well, like Dodge and Plymouth cop cars, and bad guys driving Chrysler Imperials  too. Product placement was a big deal back then and Chrysler took full advantage of it.

I just happened to have these.

Barris did the Toronado and only succeeded in making a good looking car look awful. If he had just chopped the top and left it at that, it would have been fine.

Saw on LinkedIn today - From NY in '71 at Fourth Ave and 55 street - '69 Charger in background on right.  Also '66 Coronet wagon up front left, and I believe a '70 Satellite behind it, maybe a 4 dr?, and a '71 Coronet taxi.

Vlad Putin has/had a Charger R/T SE?

The Charger R / T SE KGB edition!  Very rare car! Mannix has Vladimir in his sites!

1970 Charger @0:10 mark for 2 seconds and that's the only appearance through the whole video. Since I watched it all the way to see if it were to appear again, the video is actually good. Emotional to say the least covering 911, Boston bomber, Vegas shooting, California fires etc. Oh and KWS (Kenny Wayne Shepherd) is involved. I know he's a Mopar guy.

Head rest were an option on 68's, not sure when but definitely available on 68

And until January of 1969, they were an option for the 69 Chargers as well.  Meaning not all 69's came with them.
