A good friend of mine has an original paint '68 Cahrger R/T & the inside of his lower valance is painted flat black. Can anyone else verify that it should be black?

My 69's was black, but it wasn't a fancy job- it was painted near the rad support but the closer to the front the paint was thinner, it was almot non existant along the front edge.
