This documentary is a long one so, watch it when you can. It shows what it was like over there better than almost anything I have watched.

By the way, I was there (Vietnam) as a young Marine Helo Doorgunner and Crew Chief in 1967-1968.  Hope you enjoy this.

P.S.  My tours over there were all spent in the northern part of S. Vietnam ( I Corps) . My last base was just a few miles from the DMZ and I never, personally, saw a show for the troops. I guess they were put on much further south of my bases then although I did miss Bob Hope's Christmas 1967 show in Da Nang. They just never came to my bases where I was stationed.
