Title: Removing the brake booster from a 71
Post by: 71 Bee Man on August 01, 2005, 12:43:13 AM
Hi guys,

not having bought a manual yet, and not having anyone here that could help, is there any easy way to removing the brake booster from my 71 Charger ?

I've had a look under the dash and it looks like an absolute an absolute mongrelto try and remove nuts, bolts etc.

Is there any trick to it or not ?

not fun , you need to undo the four bolts to the firewall & the cross bolt for the lever & the bolt to the pedal & remove the unit from the engine compartment side

Yep, you have to be a contortionist...or at least have a couple wobbly u-joints in your socket set.

Thanks guys,

yeah I figured as much. What a pain. I was under the dash yesterday and thought "It can't possibly be this hard".

I might leave it till I get more time.

Peter.
