hello my car came from Delta Garage Brentwood CA dealer 410771- 105 does anyone know anything more information about this dealer what happened to it did it shut down or was it taken over by another dealer as i found a license plate surround which has Brentwood Dodge Chrysler Jeep is this the same dealer or another dealer in the area at the time or later in history

I don't know about the dealership's fate (many of them bit the dust in the '70s), but I did find this older thread about your car (http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,68142.0) where the previous(?) owner Phillibuster recounted its history.

I did find two mentions of a "Brentwood Dodge Chrysler Jeep", one in Stockton, CA and another in Brentwood, CA. But no newspaper ads to confirm. They were only mentions found in a Google search. And one included this phone number: (925)634-9900.

Brentwood is 55-60 miles to the south of Davis and 25-30 miles to the west of Stockton.
The name "delta" is in common use, then and now, throughout an area about 100 miles by 100 miles, because that's what it is, the Delta region.
These three cities are three very distinct communities, no blending or blurred lines, then or now, they are stand alone communities.
Area codes change over time. In 1970 the area code for Brentwood was 415, Davis was 916, and Stockton 209. Only Stockton's has stayed the same.
all i need to know is if ***(delta garage and brentwood dodge)*** are the same dealer never mentioned delta dodge in my posts

part of what makes the task difficult is a car may have been originally destined for where the slip list shows, but allocated somewhere entirely different
mine, 409053, was bought new twenty miles from its indiana home, while early info from the ship showed it as being a washington state car
Ok thank you all for your replies guess it's one of those things which will never be known but by the sounds of it it may be what i was getting at it may have been a later replacement of the original delta garage but here's a question when did dodge & jeep start selling cars together at the same dealership maybe this will narrow down the dates a bit
They may have sold cars together at dealerships before 1987, but Chrysler officially bought American Motors in 1987 and completed their merger by 1990.
The Jeep Eagle division of American Motors became the Jeep we know today and was being sold at Chrysler dealerships in 1989.
