What's the shelf life of a tail stripe if I dont put it on the car straight away?.

If your stripe is made from a decent quality vinyl, and there's no reason to think it wouldn't be, the shelf life should be years if it's kept in a dry cupboard that sees no extreme heat or cold.
I have vinyl stuff such as stickers and the like, that I've cut years ago that are fine.
