Title: Lower shaft slid out.
Post by: Bronzedodge on January 01, 2019, 08:28:10 PM
Great.  I was putting strut rod bushings on my Charger and the lower control arm pivot shaft just pulled out on the bushing by hand.  I had installed new Moog lower bushings three years ago, pressed them in, properly supported, etc. no issues with the old ones other than worn out.  I didn't have strut bushings at the time.  Reassembled and tightened the nut after getting the car at ride height as per FSM.   Anyone have this issue?

Its late, but im assuming the bushing itself is tight and the arm just slid off when the strut rod was removed? If so, no worries as long as there is no physical play in it. I have the superstocker set up for free travel for rise and weight transfer, slightly different method, but same principle.
