Thanks for posting TanTop-you are always on top of these things., and we appreciate it. I am interested in the car and have just bid on it, but there are some inconsistencies. The ad shows "Exterior color-Orange" but the picture and build sheet show Tor Red, so I have contacted them for clarification. Also, I cannot ever remember on the master cylinder-on a 440 6 pack don't the lines come out of the master cylinder on the engine side rather than the fender side-again I could be remembering wrong. In any event it seems like an excellent car.
Thanks
Bob
through my computer screen , its looks red in some of the pictures , but ! with the trunk & open door shots , it looks orange ! :shruggy:
i'm far from a expert , yes I always thought that , hemi disc brake & drum brake cars , had the brake lines on the inner fender side , & 440 disc brake cars coming out on the engine side , although I read somewhere it was not unusual for a 440 car to have the lines coming out either side , i've seen a few different pictures of 440 birds , with the brake lines coming out on the inner fender side , but no telling if these were the original master cylinders & they were not survivor type cars , :shruggy:
This one is original to my car, still has the tag attached.
Mine..
I'm probably re-stating the obvious here, but...
EV2 = Hemi Orange (Dodge) = Tor Red (Plymouth's name, wordplay of "torrid")
I don't think Superbirds were made in a true "red" color, were they? Three flavors of orange though -- EV2, EK2 & unofficially FK5
That's a sweet car- I think colors look different to people on different computers. Looks ORANGE to me... some pics more reddish but mostly bright Orange
What is the black stuff on the muffler inlets? Paint?
He confirmed Tor Red today
Im still in the bid but maxed out now
