Title: Dash Paint
Post by: cudaken on June 17, 2013, 11:04:02 PM

Where is the best places to get dashboard paint? Car is my 68 Road Runner, and body color is B 3 Blue.

Can it be had in rattle can?

When I needed to refinish the metal panel with the defroster slots on the dash of my Shelby Charger, I took the part to the local paint supplier. They scanned the underside where the paint hadn't faded and made me a spray can for $18.

Ken, are you talking pad or frame? Either way I'd recommend SEM in a rattle can. If it's the pad you want SEM Color Coat or Vinyl Coat for vinyl and plastic.

Bull and 71 Charger, thanks for the reply's.

I am asking about the dash frame. Road Runners where more bare bone's than Chargers. Here is a picture of my dash.

To the right of the radio is painted metal, same color under as under that pad (not the top dash pad) that holds the switches for lights, wiper and flasher switch's. I all so need to paint the metal part that holds the defroster vents and speaker under the windshield.

Bull, what code do I need to take them?  :shruggy:

I guess I can bull the radio faces plate, back side should have not faded. With my luck, it has rusted and it is plastic!  :brickwall:

Ken, just pull the interior code off your fender tag and take them that. Or call SEM with it.
