I bought this car 2.5 years ago as a package deal with 2 other cars. i just wanted the super bee. but had to buy this car and a 1970 dart to get it. well I need to decide what to do with it. i don't plan on restoring it. what i paid for all three the super bee alone was worth it.
So my options are this:
1 - Sell it as is and see what i can get. Let someone save it or part it out themselves. how much to ask?
2 - Pull the motor and tranny, and rear end. and crush the rest, maybe save the grille and other parts like rear window. but then id have to sell them or go to swap meets. this is an ok solution as i can store them in the shop till i have time. i did think about keeping the 383 for the Bee, but i might be going modern hemi swap.
3 - crush the whole thing.
My son is arriving in 4 weeks, being born, and i want to have this done by then. the car moved from my brothers to another guys house with out my ok and i don't like it there. its forcing my hand early at dealing with this. i cannot store it here because i have the super bee in the shop, the dart behind it and the charger in the garage.
the dart will be sold as well. but lets keep it on the RR topic.
here are some pics. it has a bonded title, but will turn into regular one in October. i have paid all the dues, and if someone comes forward they can not get the car back but the get insurance money.
The car is not number matching. and as you can see it needs a lot of metal. it is all there. except for whats rusted away. the #'s are there on the radiator support and trunk lip, they match
Any thoughts would be nice

i have more... resizing
more.....
Sell it the way it sits
If you take the trouble to tear it apart and save pieces you are just making the pile bigger then you still have to sell the parts
Ask $1000 and see what happens
If you are considering crushing it any price over $250 is all profit
The car is still a B body so ....
I agree, I would sell it as is. Since it has a 383 in it and is complete you may be surprised, it could bring well over $1000 to the right person needing a parts car. :Twocents:
I would definitely not try and disassemble that car. Trust me, living in Minnesota, I've torn apart some rusty cars, but that one's gonna leave a pile on the floor if you know what I mean! I agree with the boys above...toss up an ad and send it packing! :'(
Thanks for the replys so far.

Throw it on Ebay and get a few thousand for it. That steering wheel looks crack free.... :yesnod:
I can't believe you are considering any option to crush all or part of it. If you don't have time or room for it, give it away or least sell it for the equivalent scrap value. You'll :icon_smile_big: have a friend for life if you do

And a Shop Vac for the rust that falls off while loading!
In your ad, did you mention it would make a good start on a Petty tribute car??
Thanks guys. I'll list it on Craigslist.
I need to do the same on the dart. I'll start another thread for that one.

Glad you're going this way. Crushing a muscle car is sin.
