Title: Hemi Superbird crushed by garage long ago in southeast Kentucky
Post by: benny70hemibird on May 26, 2021, 07:01:39 PM
Long ago, back in the mid 80's an older lady owned two Superbirds. One was an orange factory Hemi car that she had abandoned beside her garage in the yard for ages. It sat so long that it had sunk into the ground up to the rocker panels. A tornado came through and the garage landed on top of the 'bird and crushed it. I mean, crushed it. I saw it often but she would not consider selling it. One day it was gone. I wonder if anyone got it finally? I hope it got a decent home or maybe was sent to scrap? Anyone know what became of it?

car sat up on a hill out of public eye . And if memory serves me right was either orange or red maybe ????? been far to long to say with any certainty

When I saw it the car was seriously hurt but repairable. Best i remember a tree fell right between the wing and the back glass

The son drove another Bird as a semi daily driver.

Keep in mind we ware going back well over 30 years ago. BUT, Last I heard it sold and is or at least WAS in the Lexington MAYBE Louisville Ky area.
