Time for truth.
This question is NOT for dealers, owners of junkyards or salvage yards. I'm talking JUST the regular people.
Cars in your shop, your garage, in the back yard, at a buddy's house...add them up. What is your BIG number?
Me? I had 11 at one time including the Wife's 2 cars.
I haven't been a "One car" guy since 1986.
Currently, Nine cars.
Plus, my two trucks.
Then, there's The Old lady's car.
My Motorcycle, and our RV...
Ummm
At the moment 11 cars 2 trucks but half of them are considered just parts cars :P
Currently 14 in total. Nine various projects & 5 daily drivers.
Currently
17 Ram 2500 CTD - work truck DD
18 Challenger T/A - Wife's DD
69 Charger
70 Challenger
78 Scout Terra Rallye - woods crawler
2004 Cadillac DTS - Abandoned by my daughter now my dog hauler
97 Dodge Ram 1500 - Garbage hauler
91 Honda Prelude 4WS- Rescued from being towed off of my street
88 Plymouth Reliant K - Recently rescued from a 14 year abandonment in a driveway
87 Nissan 300ZX - Just sold, also a rescue and moved onto a loving home
^^
All run and drive except the Reliant which I'm in the process of putting the front back together
4, 69 Chargers
1, 70 Charger
1, 69 Dart, for sell
1, 14 Ram diesel heavy duty
1, 2000 Dodge 3500 dump truck
1, 88 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4
1, 17 Dodge Caravan
1, 12 Dodge wife's car
And one, should be next weekend, 69 R.R., 383, 4-spd. convertible, one owner, all original and all their.
At my worst, about 10-12. I have never really paid attention to the count.
After moving I committed to no more than 5 toys (=5 garage spaces) and 2 drivers, which is where I am at (+ a motorcycle, + a parts car so dismembered you can't really call it a car anymore..... but it is ALL here).
used to own about a 1000 at any given time , now down to two daily drivers and 5 muscle cars and a couple turbo dodges .
Right now apparently:

I used to own my own salvage yard :icon_smile_big: Now i just sell junk for someone else . Less stress but hard going back to being an employee.
I owned 3 vehicles at one time back in the early 2000's. My personal van at the time, plus 1 company truck for my mobile recording setup back then, and my Charger (owned since 1989). :coolgleamA:
I briefly tied that record in 2018-2019 until our minivan was totaled in a hit and run in our driveway. :icon_smile_dissapprove:
Most is 4 projects, 1 daily driver, and a truck. Down 1 project car now and about 100 hours of spare time away from getting another project car out the door. Only problem is that I don't have 100 hours of spare time.
I'm at 5 right now and really want another project. But I'm out of space so somethings gotta go before another shows up.

Aww, man....Didn't you read my first paragraph? No dealers, owners of junkyards or salvage yards.
No fair..... :slap:
:smilielol:
My wife and I are currently at 15 cars.... that's the most we've had. I'm going to be selling two of them pretty quickly though and chopping up the third which will bring us down to 12.
4 is the current count and all time high...hopefully it will go up :coolgleamA: I'd like to add a Viper in to the mix, but a 69 A12 clone or 70-74 Cuda would be next on the list.
69 Charger
01 Ram Off-Road
74 Duster
Mopar 10
32 or 33 was the highest at one time titled in our names and complete race cars.
My wife and I have 19 at this time. With the road salt in WI we have winter and summer vehicles the 06, 07 and 1500 are winter vehicles.
My goal this year is 16 by the end of summer. I have people interested in the 59, 64 and the 66. Could be 15 if I hit another coyote or deer with the 07.

I also desperately need a truck, so I may be parting ways with some of the Panther cars soon
It seems like many are at their peak right now!
I think that I had 13 cars here in total a few years back.
I have 2 Hondas and my 68 and my autocross 99 Firebird.
A few years ago I had the 71 Chally Vert, the 69 R/T SE and triple_green (my 68), Triple green was in much nicer condition than the others which were running and serviceable.
I found it was too much to keep up 3 collector cars with the first two needing work which I did slowly over time.
I also have a one year rule, if I cant get the car fixed up and running the way I want it in a year I sell it. This keeps me from getting mired down with a never ending project and the wife from leaving me.
Mark
I'm at my to-date peak as well with 5:
1969 Charger
1970 Ford F-250
1988 BMW 325i convertible (wife's toy)
2004 Mini Cooper S
2014 Dodge Durango
My wife and I both work from home right now so our daily drivers (mini and durango) don't see as much use as they once did so we may shift things around but we'll see...
Picked up the R.R., puts me at 12, no more room.
Not including the wrecked race cars, six.
1969 383 Charger
1969 Charger R/T
1969 273 Dart Swinger
1964 Dodge 880
1998 Ram 1500
1987 Thunderbird Chumpcar
Many years ago ,,,But, best I remember this was maybe early 90s time frame , and all were in my name at same time
Some were drivers, others were projects
* were cars that shared daily drivers duties

Biohazard wins.... :nana:
29 muscle cars
Hard to compete here. Seven running and driving cars/trucks/SUVs in my driveway at the moment, and...two other 4x4s in another state that I keep going. All are getting a little long in the tooth, so-to-speak, but all are serviceable at present. This is my all-time high, hopefully. With the departure of my son to collage in a year or so, I'm hoping to diminish that number dramatically.
Well sold the Dart so down to 11, but got some extra room now, lol.
7 in my current fleet.

Right now I have 7 that are mine (all Mopar) & 3 more that belong to my wife & two sons. I believe the current numbers of 7 & 10 are the most. In the past I think the most was 8 or 9 at the same time not including the car trailer or the camping trailer.
