Title: Motion Daytona photo
Post by: bannedbird on May 30, 2020, 02:08:17 PM
I don't remember ever seeing this photo before.  Daytona in front of "Motion" something sign.  Any story to this car?
I searched the forum a little ("Motion Daytona") and didn't find anything.  If already a thread, please add it in a reply.  Thanks!

I found on this page while searching for something else I MUST have for my 'Bird:

Too bad Photobucket and other sites heavily watermark images that people post or make the images disappear after time. TT: thanks again for you great job of posting images of cars on this site, rather than risking the loss of the images later.

Motion Performance (Speed Shop) in association with Baldwin Chevrolet in Baldwin, NY (Long Island)
produced a number of high performance automobiles in the '60s-'70s (all makes) but they are well known in the Chevy world (Baldwin/Motion)

Thanks for the magazine post.  I didn't realize it was the same as "Baldmin-Motion".

I like the statement in the article referring to the fact that Dodge got 2,000 orders for the car.
So much for the ignorant folks on line that says they weren't in demand.
