Cool to see.. but a few things have me skeptical.

Why the black spray in the trunk on the quarters?? Was this something Zebart did back then???

Neat thing is it looks like gold / zinc nuts on the wiper motor and the stud on the master cylinder plate. Glad I bought an extra 4 from John Brown!!  I can swap mine out if this is correct!!!  :shruggy:

That's quite the car. It was fun to look over the photos. There are a few things under the hood I'd like to correct, but I'm impressed with the car as is.
I would like to see a full shot of the trunk floor though, I suspect at least some surface rust there. And if anyone here is interested in purchasing it I'd suggest looking under the interior rubber floor mat. If by chance any water did get inside the car and under the rubber mat it would have stayed there and caused some rusting to take place.
If I had more space, and the price was more reasonable I'll buy this one. I hope whoever buys it keeps it original. Car's like this don't come along very often.

yeah , that black waxie type stuff is the ziebart gear !! that's what they use to do with that stuff , some of the time it use to be all over the engine bay under side of the hood , running out every cavity . box section etc  etc  , & over the whole underside of the car too ..........

Zeibart plug....

Wow... that's a term I haven't heard in a LONG time.  It was kind of a big deal to have your car "Ziebarted," right?

yeah , & it use to work !( well on all the ones ive worked on / seen/ inspected ) except ! see below  ::)

although as the ziebarted cars got older , depending what the ziebarting guy was like  , not all would touch in the bare metal , after the hole was drilled , with primer/ paint , & depending where the plug was located / hole  drilled ! they use to rust / rot around the plastic plugs ,  :icon_smile_blackeye:

While the price is really steep, where are you going to find another like it ? The paint looks nice, the interior too. I'm not all wiggly about a slant six but the car is amazing. It is also a treasure trove of "How they did it". The paper tags, inspection marks, paint runs...All that stuff also applies to the more desireable models. These cars rolled down the line and in most cases, they were treated the same. Radiator yoke blackout was the same whether a slanty or a Hemi. Sound deadener/undercoating in the wheelwells too. This sure beats the crap out of the bullshit lies told by that the owner of that "Survivor" lighter blue 70 Charger that has been posted here several times.

Thanks for posting the pictures.   Nice car but it will take a special buyer for that price.    Definitely a time capsule.

in 1990 i bought a white 68 Satellite in the same condition 383 2bbl. it had 1976 expired tags sitting in a garage, the lady passed away and it just stayed in the garage, it had 28,000 original miles on it. green interior and green vinyl top no special options i paid $800 for it the asking price, i had custom duels put on it with GTX tips and new white letter tires on the steelies with chrome lug nuts, i sold it around 92 for $3500 and that was good money then for it, a guy in the Dover air base bought it and i think he still has it.

how I've done it in the past , ive used  a slow  paint shop de greaser /sprit / panel wipe  , even lacquer thinners / gun wash  ( dependent on  what the cars been painted in )  , on a  cloth / rag  also a plastic filler  spreader wrapped in a  panel wipe soaked rag ,  messy & a long  job ,  don't be tempted to use  red or gray scotchbrite  soaked in degreaser  either  , once the majority of the wax stuff is off , I use a fast  panel wipe and more cloths / rags  ,a fast evaporating one because !  ,  just soo the solvent is not  on the original paint ( depending what original paint / type of car )  so little chance of it attacking / softening the paint  ,  &  pickling /  lifting , a factory  primer / paint  over spray  finish .
