Dave Mewhorter was due to drive this car at Daytona in '72, however due to the NASCAR rule change outlawing the hemi, the car was then converted for dirt track racing.

hey that wrecked one has to be the FIRST 2nd gen wing car, Dayclona has nothing on him

If they could only have known...

I have pics taken at our local asphalt track from the mid 70's and the first three rows are all 69 Chevelle SS396's. :'(
