I have read somewhere that the tail lights changed after January 1, 1969 to a different style. My cars build date is March so I need the ones for after the change. But which ones. I have one of each, a 2bulb and 3 I believe. So which ones are required for my car. I can't find where I remember seeing it.

I thought the Super Bee lights stayed the same all through? The RT and 500 had a panel that simulated three lights and the Super Bee had a black out panel whereas the standard Coronet 440 did not have the blackout. I have a seen a lot of Super Bee clones with the standard panel and a couple with the 500 triple style, could the clone ones be causing confusion on taillights?

Thanks Wayne, I was gonna send you a PM, but figured I'd ask out loud in case others wanted to know or learn about the differences. I also just thought that I could've looked in the trunk to see how many bulbs are on the wire loom, would that have worked?
As far as the confusion, I'm still not sure what car get the three tail lights. I do know that the bee changed mid year and it got the two outside ones. On the clones I've seen, they don't replace that panel nor the gauges inside to the Ralley dash like our chargers. Other than that, not sure.

As I said above.. pre Jan 1st cars got the 2 bulb tail lights, after that three bulbs. You car should have three bulb ones and harness in the trunk to match them for your March build car. Mine was a Feb car.
