Never thought I would get to talk about a Dodge Aspen on an Aero site?
My first hurrah into Drag racing was a 1976 Dodge Aspen with a very rare Weslake (Nascar development) engine already fitted.
The Dodge is long gone, stolen out of my Farm unit some twenty years ago!
Still have the engine thankfully but I think my 'old friend' Greg needs to tell us more about his Dodge Aspen!
Always dreamed of finding another and putting the Weslake in there... :2thumbs:
:scratchchin: :scratchchin: :scratchchin:
Have you still got it Greg???
Ray Evernham and I sold it a while back.
Too many irons in the fire, as they say.
Nice one Greg!
Hope it wasn't cheap lol...
Love to get a trick aspen again... :drool5:
Under the F Body skin was the Gary Bettenhausen #6 Hemi 4 speed Daytona, hiding in plain view! :coolgleamA:
Dare I say it Greg?
Fish face Daytona, its kinda cute lol... :pity:
Nice race-car indeed, shame about the Aspen body, bet it went to the scrappy?
Don't see many Aspen Nascars... :slap: :smilielol: :eek2:
Tough times for Dodge in the Mid 70's?
Where did it all go wrong?
I kinda like 'em meself...
Already had a good flat rear screen, just needs a NOSE-CONE! :patriot: :horse: :pigsfly:
Optional trim rings, wow things were tight back then... :'( :'( :'(
They were too small to race in Nascar!
My high school car...
Hey Steve
I see your high school ride and raise you my lifetime ride. Acquired this when I was 17. 54 now. She seen it all. High school, marriage, new babies, proms, grandkids. Only one left. And they will never fit the box in! lol
Not a bad looking car at all ;)
Having seen Kent's car, I can safely say that picture doesn't do it justice! :2thumbs:
