Last post by Polygon - Today at 02:09:06 AMFord fits Plymouth. So I got a spare tire out of a Lincoln town car and put it in the trunk of my charger. Only for short- distance and I've never used it. Because the Hub had to be ground out a little bit. Which I hear is a very bad idea but some people are doing.

Last post by Polygon - Today at 02:04:54 AMMy mechanic, who's also my neighbor for 27 years said to buy Moog parts. Everybody says quality has gone down but some people said it's pretty good. So basically I'm leaning toward Moog buying all the individual parts from RockAuto or Summit. I would like to hear your opinions, thank you, John

If your car is blue and you think it is red, I'm not going along with your incorrect and delusional belief.
The same applies to other instances.
If you're fat, I won't call attention to it but if you try to tell me you're thin and in great shape, you're going to get a truth bomb that will dispel your lie.
Traffic tickets though....
Anyone that has had a fun car is at risk for getting stopped and at least warned if not cited for it.
I've been stopped just so the cop could chat about the car. If I'm not busy, I'm okay with that.
Oddly, I've never been cited in my fastest car. I've done burnouts, drifts, power slides and gone 130 mph in this car.

But in my younger days, my 1969 Chevelle SS was a ticket magnet. The funny thing is I let my buddies drive the car and they would come back with tickets.

PS, went back to Upstate New York with my chevelle. I think I'm 19 or 20 years old with my buddy Rick. The town has 2,000 people. Rick is driving and hitting the gas just to chirp the tires. We're having a great time. And the cop on duty waves at us pulls us over, "Rick, go do that out in the country".
That was Fort Plain New York about 1979

Times have changed, so have the cars, the cops and society in general; none for the better. Tough to see our country being torn apart by scum with nothing at stake.
Hopefully, common sense will prevail, though I won't put any money on it. What the heck, our money is worthless so nothing much to lose.

Interior / Classic Industries Seat Tracks...
Last post by timmycharger - Yesterday at 09:00:39 AMI finally got around to installing the driver's side seat tracks I bought from Classic Industries. Total price was $356.09 shipped to my door. For years I have been driving around with a damaged seat track as my original right side bracket lost the roller bearing and had the wrong hardware and springs installed.
Not a surprise but these aftermarket brackets are not very good. They are painted poorly and the paint was chipping on a few areas already just sitting in the box. I put some pics below of the comparison from the original bracket and as you can see there are subtle differences but overall they look pretty close.
They were not as tight feeling as my originals and did not come with a stud on one side like factory. The holes for the springs were not in the correct spots as you can see below. I had to drill a hole for the long spring to sit properly. I ended up only using the right bracket since my left side was still perfect, I just used the springs and hardware that came with the aftermarket set.
Once adjusted, they work like factory and I am happy with that, I probably could have just gotten a used right side bracket and fixed mine but good examples of those are getting harder to find.
Lastly, I wanted to get a bit more of a recline from my factory seat so I put a couple of washers under the front studs where it meets the floor and I really like how it is now, I feel much more comfortable than previously and it was dirt cheap.
