Title: 1969 CHARGER SEAT HEAD REST QUESTIONS ??????
Post by: kevs1969daytona on December 29, 2017, 11:19:11 PM
Ok the first pic is my new seats, notice no chrome accent that wraps around, seems to be made from plastic, the original head rest has chrome accent, is it just a matter of buying the chrome trim i's $50 but does it just go over the black plastic trim on mine, any experience with these things ? Cheers

Save your $50 and go to the parts store and purchase the chrome band for $20 a roll, Protekto-trim makes the chrome body side molding from  1/4" wide up to 1" in width and has low-mid-high profile shapes , just bring in a sample of the existing band to match up in their catalog, now getting the old stuff off the headrest is a tedious core sometimes it just pulls off, but most of the time you need to surgically cut it off, as it fuses itself to the vinyl good over the years
