Good afternoon folks,
I'm having a hard time comprehending this date code on this alternator.
You can see in the first two pics it has 4 of the spokes with dots in it (Apr 69) casting date. If I'm reading this right
The last pic shows the vendor number, part number, and the assemble date (1-69) Jan. This doesn't add up in my minds eye.
Any help with this would be very helpful.
Thanks Curt
Each pie slice is a month.
Each dot is a week in that month.
Your case halves are dated one week apart in April, 1969
Some are months apart.

Thank you
That part makes more sense now. :2thumbs:
In the third picture what does the (1 69) represent? :scratchchin:
Curt
Assembled 1'st week of 1969.....which doesn't make sense. Could there be a faint number beside the 1?

Good afternoon,
There isn't any faint marks that I can see.
Maybe it could of been a 4, or 10,11,12 maybe. Someone must of been sleeping on the job...
So I don't know what the date code for this would be... :shruggy:
