Title: need thicker exhaust gaskets for 440/511 stroker
Post by: christianlarsen on February 16, 2024, 02:57:24 PM
I need thicker/better sealing exhaust gasket. I have MOPAR WEDGE 383/440 CYLINDER HEAD
1961-1978 CHRYSLER B & RB ENGINES, PART NUMBER P5153524 and hooker competition headers.
Right now i use Fel-Pro Performance Exhaust Header Gasket Sets 1414 and they are not sealing enough.
Can somebody help point me in direction of a super sealing/thick exhaust gaskets.

thnx for reply b5blue!

They have two gaskets that looks like a fit:
Remflex Exhaust Header Gasket Sets 6002
Remflex Exhaust Header Gasket Sets 6019

Any idea which one would best fit the cylinder head P5153524. Specs. says exhaust is 1.81 but im still not sure which one to pick? The gaskets have the same port width but the height on 6019 is 1.625 vs. 6002 height of 1.375

Did some follow up. mopar performance P5153524 is the same as edelbrock 60929 (except for sparkplug angle) and edelbrock recommend Edelbrock part #7226 Exhaust Gaskets for their head having gasket futures a 1.84"x 1.33" port size.

So based on that im going to get Remflex Exhaust Header Gasket Sets 6002.

thnx again b5blue  :2thumbs:

Man, I have to concur. The Remflex are great. They are NOT-reusable, but great.
