Title: fuel pump
Post by: poppa on May 09, 2019, 02:15:37 PM
Hi all! Want to make my fuel line "hard plumbed". Anyone make a pump that accepts fittings? Engine is a 70 - 440 w/an aftermarket 6 pak. Thanks

Just saw this one (in one of my posts  :brickwall:). Any place better than the other to get this?

I think Carter PN M6903.  I bought one like that with a fitting from NPT to the flare fitting with the appropriate angle (37.5 vs 45 degree). Used Al tubing and a tubing bender to make my own.  I had some funny thing with the NPT adapter and the pump.  I don't think it was a taper thread vs A/N issue, but more like the adapter was too long to thread properly.  I had to clean the threads and tap again on the pump side.  The pump itself can be disassembled for cleaning, so is nice in that respect.

6903 will work @ 5-6LBS pressure.
