Title: 1968 Antenna Kit Installation
Post by: BrokenHero on March 01, 2021, 07:38:14 PM
Hey guys -

Just got this antenna kit from Year One

https://www.yearone.com/Product/chrysler-b-body/hr698

Does anyone know what exactly I need to remove to install it? Door? Fender? Can I install it without taking anything major off?

Also, I don't need it to be functional, because I've already installed a modern CD deck hooked up to 6 x 9's in the back. Should I just omit the black cable/wire or will I need to install it and have the cable go somewhere? Seems like there's some metal hardware attached to the cable that might be important.

If it seems complicated I might just have a local shop do it.

Thanks!

Ted

It can be accessed by removing the rear splash shield behind the passenger side front tire.

Not a lot of room to work, but it can be done.

(doors and fenders were installed and final painted before antenna hardware was added at the factory)
