So I saw this little bird sitting in a parking lot a here in Austin. Turns out the owner of this restaurant a couple of miles from my house owns it. Just thought I'd share. I get pretty excited when I see something like this hanging around. :coolgleamA:
When I visited family in Austin around Lakeway Travis Lake area .They told me about this car many times after seeing my cars .Apparently its a old guy that owns it lives somewhere in that area.I used to go to the Round Rock cruise night and etc Austin shows while I was down visiting to see it Thanks for the picture.Did it have any nose damage at one time I heard guy pulled it into garage and tapped the wall.I had a similar car down to the color I sold in Houston RM23UOA166242 incase you looked at vin
Yes, this guy is in Lakeway. If you're in town again, he own's Mulligans on 620. You'll know when you have the right spot when you see this car on the cover of the menu. The nose must have been repaired because it looked good, but I could see how that could happen. ;D I'll check the VIN the next time I see it out there.
Give me a shout if you're ever bringing one of your cars around.
I cant believe that its the owner of Mulligans Ive eaten there. In that little shopping center with the Lakeway water tower behind it
That's it :2thumbs:
So, that's two 'Birds in the Austin area. Ken B. has his B5 v-code car there as well........ Nice to know Austin's swinging still......... Maybe you should go back and invite him to the Tri-City Mopar Picnic in Bastrop in April............

Dazed and Confused is one of my favorite movies. I have always wondered about the black "Bird seen in the shot where Matthew Maconaghey's character (Wooderson) is driving his SS 454 Chevelle through the Top Notch parking lot. So what's the story on that 'Bird? Why was it repainted? Nearly everyone I know who has seen that movie comments on that car and wonders what happened to it.
P.S. Sorry for the highjack

Yes, this guy is in Lakeway.
Wow, my parents lived in Lakeway for almost 10 years and I never saw it. :brickwall: Of course I didn't live there but I was there at least every month for Air Force Reserve drill.

There's only two 'Birds in all of Austin? We have four here in our tiny Bryan/College Station area. There's a guy named Geno that has two (and also had a F5 Daytona until recently). I've seen his Lemon Twist 'Bird several times but have never seen the other one. He rarely brings the yellow one out.
There also is a lady that has two 'Birds that were owned by her late son. The story is that she's never touched them since. Only her closest friends have seen them. She supposedly won't let just anybody look at them. Bad memories I would imagine. Every time I bring my car out to a show here in town someone new tells me that story. I've heard it so many times that it can't be an urban legend. But, I betcha all sorts of towns have that story, huh?
