Hello All,

One side of my valance on my 68 is low. It is the valance and not the bumper higher etc.  Everything else looks right.

What's the best way to move it up?

BLK 68 R/T

It mounts to the fender so as long as it is flush with the underside of the fender, there is no moving it up.

Looks to me the fender could come down a little.  :yesnod: Now on mine some one brazed the rear valance on and is way off.  So l have to cut it off rebuild a new edge  :flame:  A real hack job l know l could order a new one but l want to see if l can do it and maybe save a few  :Twocents:. If l fail l'll just order a new back panel

Didn't the factory have about an inch tolerance on that gap?

BLK 68 is right.  Can't move up without taking it off and redoing bunch of mounting points,  probably look worse when done.  Are the fender and valance new and from the same vendor?  People on here can attest to the poor fit of some parts that are supposed to fit without mods (me included.)  Can you post some pics of the fender/valance seam?

Here's a pic of what it should look like.  Pirated off a car sale ad.

Can you show a complete front picture?

Looks to me like the bumper could stand to be lowered a bit so it isn't covering the grille trim. That would close up the gap below the bumper a bit. (A little here can look like a lot there!) :Twocents:

By the looks of the grill molding the bumper needs to come down  a good half inch.

I also agree with the above about the bumper.  I had this issue as well on my car when I was using a rechromed original bumper....turns out the bumper was actually bent up on the one side.

The Bolts that attach the brackets to the car have slack in the bracket holes.  If you loosen them, you may be able to adjust the bumper angle.
I just started looking at mine yesterday to get ready to install.
