Post by: Nacho-RT74 on March 26, 2008, 04:56:24 PM
Since ever, so from fact dow look my car came with a bad shaped door glas... when I got the car, was noticeable the damage on original roofrail weatherstrip on area where the glass is a little bit higher.

How can I get lowered that area to meet with roofrail shape ?

already tried that, no way to make a perfect fit beside that. Dunno where is the worng part, on body or glass. but trust me, there is no way to get a perfect fit on all the glass with roof rail. And I'm pretty sure came out from fact in that way because the way the roofrail molding was badly warped out on that area.

I was thinking on make a light sand paper job, day after day, with lot of patiente

ive been doing autoglass for 26 years nacho no way youre gonna sand it down its tempered if you try and use any type of power sander you,ll blow the glass up  doing it by hand probably take ya 20 30 years lol sorry its just not designed to be messed with.. but my question is... is it an original glass if so its unlikely the glass is mis formed .......only way to fix youre problem is to fix body to accept the glass not the glass to except the body
