Typo in this old ad on the VIN. Wonder if the actual VIN is known and if car survived?
Wish I had $4788 back then!
XX29J9B210740 is a known vin , its in the C500 registry :yesnod:

Yes, the VIN is in the spreadsheet but is not linked to any definitive proof of existence like a photo of VIN, fender tag, etc.
So considering the VIN typo in the ad, wondering if anyone knows of proof that 210740 is a real VIN, or perhaps due to the typo it is a slightly different number?
My guess is that the typo in the ad VIN "13" is actually just two left and right halves of a "B"!
XX29J9B210740 is/was a Y2/C6X HEMI 4-speed 500 - what paper & date is the above ad from?
Sorry - I don't know what paper it is from. How do you know it was Y2/C6X?
It has to be a california ad they included vins.I think I seen it before.
Will look it up

years decades of collecting data = XX29J9B210740 Y2 C6X black stripe E74 D21 DANA console power disc brakes & power steering ( that's all I have - no PICS, WHO, WHEN or WHERE :-\ )
....... but now additional info from the ad can be added :2thumbs:
210740 is most certainly a known car, and I have even shared this add with the current owner. Side note but the car is currently for sale, he is asking $265k. Number matching HEMI 4 speed car. fender tag is present. Car is restored and looks good (except I am not a fan of Y2 at all). Car is currently in the northeast.
Cool :2thumbs:

Back in 1985, I looked at a similar Charger 500. It was a yellow four speed. The VIN was XX29J9B133972, which is # 4 on the list. At that time it had a 383 in it. It was for sale for $ 4,000, but I was unable to buy.

Hi Mike, 09 September 2022
Think you nailed it. The "B" should be there and isn't. Chrysler was a bit sloppy back then.

Was this car in Nebraska at the time? I have no information on that particular car since the late 1980's.
