Yup one per side they crush to seal. I use the same brand on head to manifold connection also. Really worked well for me.  :2thumbs:

Yup I ordered them. Thanks for the tip guys!
I fitted the exhaust yesterday without tightening any bolts and I'm impressed with the fit. Not sure what to do about the tips yet but leaning towards getting 2.5" repros and cutting the exhaust tube and bracket. Either way I'm very happy with the whole system.

put a 3 inch H pipe TTI system on mine getting close to 20 years back ( time flies  :rotz:) used the OEM style tip hangers & TTi tips  , have a look below  :yesnod:

Hmm.  My understanding is the long flange type hanger, like the one in your pic, is a TTI thing.  Aren't the stock hangers attached to the SS exhaust tip and are just a small angle type thing?

Like Dinos third pic.

yes thats correct ! if you look at the side on shot of original tips they curve up / angled up a few degrees  after the tail pipe which makes that sit closer to the rear valance , compared to the tti set up

I was using the TTI tips, but then went with the Accurate tips.

The hanger angle on the tip can make metal to metal contact near the rubber insulator housing if you aren't careful, so watch for that.  Potential drone/vibration source.  Mine was good when I put them on, but when some resonators were installed by an exhaust shop, they changed things a little and contact was happening.

Holy crap.  Sorry about the pic size...did that with my phone.  Ugh.

My iphone does that too.

I received the Remflex gaskets and repro tips are on the way. Too bad it's going to be freezing in the garage!

TTi screwed me big time. I bought their 1 7/8 headers with 3" exhaust with those mufflers. The exhaust fit awesome but passenger side was hitting my idler arm so I called them and wasn't expecting being rude to. Was told I must be running the wrong idler and all kinds of BS but it definitely wasn't their fault. They said they'd bend me another passenger side but I'd have to eat the cost of shipping on both ends from the end of the United States to the other.

Back N Black

I had the same problem, hitting the idler arm. It was the grease fitting hitting. I just removed the fitting.

I ordered a accurate exhaust system can't say much about the sound but fitment wise is spot on very happy with the quality also

That shows mine was bent different than yours. Mine wasn't close to the grease fitting and I tried to tell TTi thst People bend these pipes and make mistakes. I'm not mad just fully cover your warranty.

Hey Dino,

Did you get your exhaust project finished? I need to order the 2.5 inch kit for my 69. Can't decide if I want the TTI or accurate tips. Which ones did you end up going with?
1969 Charger 383/auto
1969 Charger R/T 440/auto (waiting to be restored)
1972 Chevelle SS clone 383 sbc
1959 Chevy Apache short bed stepside
1968 Charger (glorified parts car)
Yes, I know I have too many cars. My wife reminds me daily.

I got the stock type with the bracket. The exhaust is in place but I haven't cut the pipes yet to fit them. It looks pretty straight forward though.

The over axle bend is sharper than the stock exhaust. If I move it much more towards the back I think the pipe will come out of the muffler. How do y20230528_203453.jpg ou guys have yours?
