The other cars are pretty cool as well. Kills me to think these cars were all in Arizona for years and I've lived here since 1971 and never saw any of them running around. Would give my eye teeth for the 440-6 70 Coronet R/T.
the 500 is equipped very much like the 500 I owned in the 1980's, 440 auto, A/C power windows, F8 etc..
... and cruise control too! :icon_smile_cool:
the family is about to cash out.
the guy's dad bought the shelby in 1970. discovered that in the comments when i clicked the profile photo to see the car

There goes a truck load of gold :drool5:
I kinda like the 500 but it is GREEN. :eek2: (Wingman) Jay.
I would choose the v-code RT in FJ5

From the above video link. It looks like tag says XS29L9B150552.
So this guy Randy (a self proclaimed car expert) somehow talked the widow of the guy, who amassed this collection, Into letting him take the cars to his home in California for an appraisal. He really knows very little about Mopars. Regardless some of my friends have seen these cars in person and made offers. The guy at first wasn't accepting any offers because he wanted to use them as a prop to advance his YouTube channel. Initially a friend of mine offered over 50k for that 500 and he turned him down. Another friend made an offer for the R/T Coronet and was able to purchase it. I have pics of the fendertag for the registry if it's not a known car.

He should have taken the offer of $50k on the car and RAN to the bank to deposit it. I spoke to him and told him I would not offer over $25-27k on the car as it sits. Any more than that and you would be way over valued on car once one. Non numbers car, with added options, and it has been repainted at least the back half.
So the 70 coronet is already gone??? Major suck... I really wanted that car. :'(

Can you post a direct link to that Facebook post? It would be interesting to follow to see what "Can't wait to get her on the road again" means. Will they get it on the road sooner than later or become another "Barn Find" by someone else.
"70 coronet".. Just as ugly as a Edsel. :Twocents:

posted in the 1970 dodge coronet club group. you'll have to join the group to see posts there
I bought/own the 70 R/T now... I was trying to buy the 500 but it didn't pan out in the end. It's really a nice car, better in person for sure... I'm confident the car is in original paint aside from some touch up around the back window (I found the can in the trunk)
If you don't mind me asking; how did you get in touch with the owner/u-tube video guy in order to buy it. I never saw him post it for sale?

Hey Mike, I didn't realize you were a member here. I guess they don't have a forum for body dropped A100s. I for one can't sit to see this thing cleaned up and running. I think there is a real jewel underneath all that dirt.
On the C500: in the video he talks about the body putty in rear window plug. I thought lead was used for the C500 and 'Tonas, with Bondo (putty) for the 'Birds? Possibly the factory was using lead up to 190, and Creative was using state of the art putty? Clarification please. And the "Birds front fenders: what was used to match the nose curve? Thanks.
