Title: What should the oil level be below the crank?
Post by: 375instroke on August 21, 2022, 09:02:08 PM
Old dipstick was twisted and kinked from whoever installed headers.  Installed a new dipstick, and the full mark is 1-3/8" below the lowest part of the crank, and 7/8" below the windage tray.  Does this sound correct?  I've read some people say it should be over 3", but I'm sure they're talking about all out racing with a huge pan.  What does one do with a stroker crank?  Should the level be lowered the same amount as half the extra stroke?
