I am putting my car back together and can't remember where and how the aduster for the adjustable mirror mounts. It's a 68 and the mirror has maybe a 2' a cable that attaches to the adjuster. I don't see any holes on the door panel for it or how it is supposed to come through the door.
doesn't go through the door panel, it goes through the upper door pad.

I Got everything installed this weekend.
I just re-installed the same mirror on our 69. Getting the chrome bezel to thread properly was a bitch. I guess in the 18 months the door pads were off they expanded a bit. It took some doing but its on AND I was able to revisit some bad words I had forgotten!
