Title: '69 side maker bezel brackets (retainers)
Post by: UH60L on April 30, 2016, 01:16:29 PM
I have new side maker bezels painted to match the body and new reflectors, and new nuts, but the body shop conveniently lost the 4 brackets that go inside the fenders/quarters.

Does anybody sell these by themselves?  I found a couple places that sell an entire kit, but I can't be wasting that much money just to get the brackets.

I'm half tempted to just make some out of sheetmetal...

I managed to find a set of 4 NOS brackets and nuts, cost me $40 US each + shipping.

fmmpar (AMS Obsolete) on Ebay. Maybe he has some more.

after you find them I'd take the bill back to the body shop and get some cash out of them for losing your brackets.

I would but it was 2008, I doubt I'm ever gonna get total satisfaction from that shop.  They forgot to cut the antenna hole in the new right fender before painting the car, the right rear bumper support was welded in 1/4 inch too high, looking at the floor they obviously just painted over the old paint and did not media blast the inside of the car, etc etc etc.  $24,000.00..........
