Title: door skin repair(68 charger)

Hello everyone,I had my doors media blasted and there are a few thin spots, is there a way to repair these spor with out buying new skin or door.the shop said they would charge me 65 an hr to do the work and I was lookin at 500 to do it and that did not include the skin.is that about right for the price any info is a help thx!!

Sounds like a candidate for a patch job to me as well.  :yesnod:

1) Mark the area around the rust spot (pinholes?) with masking tape. Make it a square, rectangle, etc.
2) Cut this out along the masking tape lines with a cut-off wheel.
3) Now you have your template. Take the piece & trace around it on a new piece of clean sheetmetal & cut this out. Now you have your patch piece.
4) Fit the new patch piece inside the gaping hole on the door you just cut out previously. Trim edges as necessary.
5) Butt-weld in place.
6) Grind smooth.
7) Filler.
8) Primer.
9) Beer.
