And then you'd need one 60 X 120. No one has a shop that is big enough.
Ain't that the truth. When I first moved into my house (which had a nice, big shop on the property.....real reason for buying the house  ) I thought, "Man, I'll never fill this". Now I'm stacking cars!
BTW - Car looks sharp :2thumbs:
I really like the car, but I love the garage you have. In NYC I could never find have a setup like that, gotta move. I really would like to add a few more cars to my collection, but tired of paying garage rents.

Well, I was paid he equivalent of abut 18 General Lee clones for it yesterday and it looks like it's going to a new home as soon as the transporter comes and gets it. Maybe I'll buy my lovely wife, Submit, a nice Carribean island vacation home with our new found wealth. :P

did i read that last post correctly, that you sold the daytona?
are you going to be wingless, or is there another one in the works?
Carribian island vacation homes are overrated... Perhaps your wife would like a Hemi Cuda or F6 Daytona now... :D Ill take one of each, please...

Hemi Cudas are overrated and my first Daytona was F6. being a simple guy that I am, maybe I'll just get that 6bbl Runner I was looking at a couple months ago.

I will admit that they are nice looking cars and other than the 2-ton doors, crappy seating position, glovebox sized trunk, cheap plastic door panels and buckboard ride, I guess they're ok...if you're into cars like that. Having owned a 70 R/T SE Challenger 440 six pack, 4 speed, shaker, 4:10 Dana, I just can't imagine that a Hemi Cuda would be much different.

Lets get down to Brass Tacks... 2 ton doors offer better protection against side collisions, you say crappy seating position, I say choose your best friends, and no fat chicks... Gloveboxed size trunk, yes, but your not suppost to have anything in there except a space saver spare, and possibly a dead hooker. Cheap door panels?? Have you ever tried to buy a nice set?! :nana: And a buckboard ride you say... That only improves driving skill when keeping your E-body between the ditches! :2thumbs: On a side note, my E body fits in my garage, and my B body doesn't! What a difference a foot and half makes! :smilielol:
M codes are SWEEEEEEET!!! I always did like that butterscotch color some were made in... :drool5:

I think it was full hubcaps.... Not many N96 70 Challengers made....that's for sure. I have some at home.....see what else I have here.....
Here are a few small pics while it was at Gibson's shop. No trim rings on the wheels yet....
One day back around '82 or '83, I found the original owner and went to his house with the car & he dug out some old pictures from when he first bought it new & I'm 99% sure that it had lime green wheels & hubcaps. I've got some old pictures that I'll have to scan & post.
I spoke with him - nice man.

Truth be told, this deal has been in the making for 7 months and a couple of weeks ago, I thought the deal had fallen through. Here's a picture of the M code car I'm still interested in. It has 23K original miles, but it's far from stock. The engine is mildly built with headers, SS springs, frame connectors, nicely done mini-tubs in the rear, elec fuel pump, Flowmasters. The car was originally a 4-speed, but now is a column shift automatic. the hump is still in the floor & the 4 speed stuff goes with the car, although it is a 23 spline. The car in non matching numbers & the rear quarters have been replaced up to the top of the body line. the car is a solid 5-footer and is built for fun. I think will do the mid 12's easily. With all that, what do the experts think it's worth?

My thoughts are that I'd like to buy it for 30, but I tend to think that 35K is the magic number. Outward appearances are that it looks stock, but it runs like a raped ape. It's definately not an investment car, but it's done up like cars were in the mid 70's, when modding a car was the norm. This is a driver, not a show car, so there's no major worries about getting a stone chip every now & then, plus it's something that REALLY puts a smile on your face when you wack the gas. Even in spite of what's been done to it, if you think about it, you couldn't even build a clone for that kind of coin. Plus, being a real M car, I think that this car's value will hold at this level for years to come.

I go with $30K or so based on all the mods. Tough sell for the buyers looking for all number's matching, so the audience is only those interested in it as a driver. Love the color though, is that original?
Yup, that's the original color.

Good chance it wasn't the only car he was transporting. If it was, he may also have felt better about taking something long and tall like that across a level set of decks rather than into the belly and then up into the nose since he'd be wanting the weight up on the front. :shruggy:

The driver wanted it up top to eliminate the possibility af anything dripping or falling on it. BTW, the wing cleared by about 4-5 inches. As far as I know, the new owner isn't here.
