Title: Tag Attached To Fender Tag
Post by: Wolfe440 on January 21, 2019, 05:30:50 PM
On the Daytona I was wondering if anyone can identify what the tag is hanging off the fender tag screw. From its condition it appears to have been there since the beginning, but that is a guess. Don't recall ever seeing one like it at shows etc. Too far gone to read anything off it. Car spent life in Texas, maybe related to that? Thx

Inspection tag.

Different plants used different versions over the years.

Here's another thread on a related topic about inspection stamps:

Good info. On these cars I presume there were other inspector number/letter combinations, they were not all stamped 1A?

Each inspector had his own stamp.

My Daytona also had 1 A on tag. On assembly line.tag was longer and got shortened down the line
