Title: Race car summer heat
Post by: c00nhunterjoe on July 20, 2019, 12:43:39 PM
Its 102 here today, headed to a benefit for a friend who lost his business to a fire. Cars are encouraged to attend. Ran a solid 160 the whole trip, felt that hot inside the car since i only have 1 window that opens. Lol

If I was building a car today without AC then I would tint the windows with that new 3M Crystalline stuff.  It's tailored to block more of the heat/UV wavelengths and less of the visual light.

The lightest shade is advertised at only 14% darkening but 34% heat blocking.  14% is pretty subtle (at least if the glass had started out clear).  That's not gonna look "tinted" to most people.
