just open the Year One catalog and ship it off for paint and you have this car.

Im sorry but if youre going to restore a wing car it should be nicely done, I understand we all cant all do what Gene, Tony, John, and John did but that thing leaves a lot to be desired.

Id love to have a White Bird especially an automatic but it would have to be bucket seat because I dislike the bench seats in 70.

shoot me if you feel the need but I just don't get it unless it was a intended to be a flip from the start.

It looks like a nice car. For me it is interesting because it seems like an early car.

From Brennan Cook's study of S/B serial #'s, it appears this car is not on the Nascar 1920 list. However car RM23UOA155780 is listed 2 times- as cars #9 and #82. So this car as RM23UOA155781 is pretty easily explained as a typo of one of those cars.

From the picture of the fender tag it appears to have had some rust at one time. Now hundreds of S/B's have rusty tags. I always wonder with a rusty tag how all these cars once really looked.

One of the most interesting things to me on the tag is the 03 on the gate #, very unusual. I think very easy to explain as the factory may not have had the gates set up properly on the early cars. It would be interesting to find other cars from the week of this cars' production to see what the gate #03 was used for. Coupes perhaps, then they realized S/B's should all use only Hardtop gates?

The 137 second part of the gate # is highlighted different in the picture, seems as a result of the shadow or the past rust below it.

I wonder what other stories this early car has to say about early car production, or if those interesting clues were lost in the restoration.

Anyone who is interested needs to really inspect these vehicles in person. Photos always make it look much better then it really is. You will see things that photos will never reveal. I have learned this from direct experience when I purchased my first Superbird. On the other hand we don't have the time and money to travel all across the country just to look at vehicles so you have to go on gut instinct as well.

According to my records, it was on ebay in Oct 2005, but not sure if it was sold or not. Back on ebay July 2009 with 60040 miles and did not sell at the highest bid of 75K$. Then back on ebay again in Feb 2010 and did not sell at 62K$.

I would love to own the car for 75k not 125k.  Heater box rusty and not restored, vin tag on dash painted over and no Chrysler logo, drain plugs not punched out on trunk floor with rubber grommets, inner wheelhouse on passenger side has some issues and this is just what I see from a few pics,  For 6 figures, it should have a lot more finishing touches.

Just my  :Twocents:

How many of these cars are flips ?

Most of us look for those cars that were well taken care of, maybe in the family for a number of years and not abused. Others were likely and quickly gone over to taken advantage of the attractive market conditions and renewed interest in these cars. Buyers beware and do your home work....don't lose patience in your search otherwise you will over pay. What do you guys think of the other Alpine White from Daisys?

I don't think overpaying is as bad a thing as buying lesser quality cars.
Of course Ive been out of the buying mode since 99.

Daisey's has two alpine white ones. One has ralleys and the other has 500's on it.
